How Greeks viewed themselves?
Ancient Greece viewed all of the other civilazatiions, and people, as uncivilized people. The Ancient Greeks called everyone else "barboros" meaning what I just in the previous sentence Some examples of who the Grees called "barboi" were the Egyptians and the Phoenicians, even though they borrowed ideas from both. The Greeks often did trade from country to country but, they still felt superiour to everyone else. For example, Sparta did not let their own citizens travel out of the city. Also, that city-states themselves looked down on each other. They would all have economic rivalry which would often lead to fighting between the two city-states.
